Sphaudio is an exciting new intellectual property, an audio engine and development framework designed to enable non-technical creatives to innovate exciting new audio based projects for mobile. At it’s heart, an audio based decision engine, facilitating the simpliest of audio books, to complex gamified interactive audio experiences and educational systems. In a nutshell, Sphaudio is a development platform for creating interactive mobile audio experiences, for gaming, for listening and for learning. The project has the capacity to open a whole new world of gaming to the blind and visually impaired.
Sphaudio Play is the front end application that the user plays with, it takes a Sphaudio Designer project and plays your audio experience. Think of it as the final application that a user can download from iTunes or Play Store for example. It utilises bundles of assets and a project file and allows the user to play and interact.
Sphaudio Designer is the tool that helps you create your project, it is a UI tool for creating your interactive content. Your content can then be compiled and bundled for use in Sphaudio Play. Sphaudio Designer has a number of modules that can be enabled or disabled for your particular project.

For Interactive Books
With the audio book market exploding over the past 5 years, interactive audio books are traditionally a lot more expensive to create. Sphaudio aims to change that and bring both interactive and plain audio books into an easily affordable pricing bracket allowing independent authors and small publishers more market penetration.
For Games
The first audio gaming development framework for mobile, Sphaudio opens up a whole new world of audio games development by empowering creatives who work in audio with a tool that will combine puzzle solving and decision making in a world of sound. Making gaming accessible to the blind and visually impaired has been an important goal in this project but we aim to create a flexible control system to suit all demographics with touch, voice and headphone controls.
For Education
Sound and response plays an important role in educating blind and visually impaired children. Imagine an app that teaches a blind child the basics of multiplication and division using interesting sound and game elements and a simple voice or touch control method. This is just one simple possibility that has already been explored with Sphaudio, this tool can play an important part in education world wide.
